Finding Marcel

Finding Marcel is a documentary family-history project about my father’s life.

Through records, photographs, family stories, and historical research, I am tracing his childhood in wartime Europe, the displacement and survival that shaped him, and the life he later built in America. The project is also about what it means to reconstruct a parent’s history from the fragments they left behind.

Finding Marcel is currently in the research phase. I am gathering family records, photographs, historical context, timelines, and personal testimony that will eventually form the foundation of a book.
